Right my next (but not so pressing) problem!

My rear wiper has suddenly gone incredibly slow and falters to a stop, if it can get going at all. Plus both my rear number plate bulbs are out.

Now the bulbs look good, fuses are fine, and the wiper motor looks very good and clean on inspection. I can't test the rear demister as wrong time of year.

So for these items to suddenly fail or go erratic is it possible I've got a bad earth for the hatch? Can anyone describe the loom to the rear of the car where the joiners and earth points are?

I did give it a mega clean recently involving jet washing everywhere and washing and cleaning out all the voids, caverties and apperture surrounds, so I wonder if made an earthing point weak?

Any advice or help much appreciated.

Thanks
Mark

A common problem is the wiring where it comes through the rubber bellows from the roof (at the top of the hatch aperture when its open) chafes and the insulation breaks down / wires snap - worth checking as similar happened to mine.
