Next week, because i'll have access to a garage I'm planning to sort my stone chips and then give the car a detail.
Its a Mk5 Golf GTI, Diamond Black Metallic.
Wash the car using Auto Glym Shampoo
Rinse and dry
Apply the paint stick using a cocktail stick to the stone chips
Here is where i need advice,
Should I polish the stone chips areas first and then clay the car and polish the whole car again? Or clay the car and then polish the whole car paying extra attention to the stone chip areas?
I don't have any clay yet but was considering this,
http://www.elitecarcare.co.uk/meguiars-quik-clay-detailing-system.php?cPath=27Do you recommend?
As for polish, my uncle has cleared out has garage and gave me three quarters of a bottle of Auto Glym Super Resin Polish.
http://www.elitecarcare.co.uk/autoglym-super-resin-polish-500ml.php?cPath=27Would this polish be suitable for working the stone chip areas and for polishing the full car? Or will I need something more abrasive for the stone chip areas.
(I will be hand polishing)
Also, could someone please recommend me a wax or a sealant that would be suitable for my paintwork?
For the glass I'm going to use Auto Glym Glass Polish.
I'll remove the wheels and clean using shampoo, is there a sealant or wax that is suitable for paintwork as well as wheels?
For the trim I was planning on using BlackWOW, is this suitable for tyres too?
Never cleaned my car in so much detail before, but I've not long had the car and want to make a fresh start with my car cleaning ways.
Thanks in advance
