MISSING TROUBLES!! MK2

I am having this wierd proble withy my MK2 GTI 8V J reg, It is that in the
Morning each time I start the car it doesn?t turn the first time just fires like a machine gun for about 5 seconds and then eventually turns over ,, this has got me thinking it is the ignition switch as it is effecting my right hand side indicator as well..

 

This is where is gets even more weird when I am driving and try and put my foot down it is like the car goes into paralysis and all the power is drained from it ,, starts to prr like there is no fuel getting through, even when I am pulling off at a junction ,  which then leads me to think it is the transfer pump but that primes every time when I turn the ignition key..



GTI PEOPLE really need some help dont know what it can be??

Sounds like a fuel delivery problem of some kind, if you can hear the fuel pump going then its not getting enough fuel, check the other pump is working properly!

To clarify you have one in the tank and the other is underneath on the drivers? side.
