HELLO ALL,WENT DOWN TO MY CABRIO THIS MORNING TO GO TO WORK AND SOME SCALLYWAGS HAD KICKED BOTH MY MIRRORS OF AND HAD A GO AT THE ROOF.NEVER MIND I'LL CATCH UP WITH THEM .THE QUESTION IS MY CAB'S ALL STANDARD.I DONT WANT TO CHANGE THE WHEELS BUT DO WANT TO LOWER IT,WHATS THE BEST SET UP TO BUY ?IV GOT ABOUT ?300 TO SPEND BUT DONT WANT SPEND MORE THAN I HAVE TO AS I NOW HAVE TO REPAIR THE DAMAGE.I DONT KNOW ANY THING ABOUT THE BODY ,IM MORE AN ENGINE MAN.

If you have ?300 to repairs the car AND lower it, I would suggest a 40mm set of lowering springs and a DIY roof from ebay. A few people have had a go with these and seem to have found them relatively easy and a good product. If replacing the roof is not neccassary, or you dont want to do it, then try Halfords cabrio repair kit. Source some mirrors from a scrap yard, or search ebay again (the mk1s friend). Or put a request out to an internet based scrapyard.

I'd be surprised if I was still alive by the time you get round to dropping your Cab.

-Jack, Dinx has bought my 40mm G-max lowering springs for her cab. They were great on mine for the short period I had them, but when Dinx gets off her arse and fits them I am sure she will be able to let you know how they are.
