Anyone any idea how to do this. I have a full lock set but cannot see how to get the barrell out of the cap.

it is doable but i cant remember how right now, iirc you remove the rubber seal and then you can release the cap somehow?  I'll have a look later.

edit: right just had a look, inside the cap there are 4 clips, you need to release these and the middle of the cap pops out, giving access to the lock.  its pretty stiff to release and put back together tho!

Okay have a spare cap with no lock and nothing to retain the replacement lock barrel also have another cap and key which is currently on the car. Decided to have another look having ready rubjonnys post and it seems to be pretty simple.

1) remover the rubber seal, hook something under it then spin the inner part of the cap to lift the seal.                   2) With a bit of gentle prizing the inner part comes away exposing the part that holds the lock barrel. I expect that there will be come sort of spring clip on the good cap that holds the barrell in place.

Thanks for your help/

yeah it is pretty easy, but the clips are quite stiff! dont even need to touch the seal though the clips are right round the outside of the inner bit, you'll see what I mean!
