Hi guys,
I have a 1997 VW Golf GL (P. Reg, manual, 1.8, silver, no modification). Recently my immobiliser has been working on and off, so much so that I've been locked out of my own car on a few occasions! It's playing up so much that I now just use my key to open and lock my car, which is a shame because the car alarm is then useless. I only have one immobiliser, it's the original one that came with the car and it's a 'remocon'.
Any ideas on how or where I can get the immobiliser fixed, or even replaced? (It’s pretty shabby looking!)
I’m a student who doesn’t know much about cars (this is my first one) so any advice or tips would be appreciated!
