If its your big end bearings, then if you change your oil - it will have white metallic flakes in it.

If its the exhaust - then holding a piece of tissue next to the downpipe will show you if its blowing or not.


Just listen to where the noise is exactly coming from.

Tapping or clattering??? And is it defo linked to gear mishap or was it maybe making a noise before hand??

Sounds silly but maybe check oil level as in previous post??

Has it had an easy life history low miles etc ..
