Hi guys, after installing version 704 onto my laptop i aquired a cable compatible with this version and plugged it into my car to diagnose a misfire. I work worked fine this first time and i sorted this misfire.
However, when i plugged it in again 10 mins later to clear the fault and get rid of the engine light it came up with the interface not detected error message. I made sure the cable was properly connected, ignition on ect etc. I also tried on my neighbours car with the same results. We tried installing new drivers for cable numerous times, even re-installing with success.
Ive tried it on three different friends cars with no success and had two professinal computer boffin mates play with the drivers and all sorts but still it wont reconaise the cable.
The green light on the cable comes on when its plugged in and the laptop recognaises that a device has been plugged in.
Whats annoying is it worked fine the first time but never again even a few minutes later. Ive seen the same prob posted on an american forum but people keep mentioning drivers.
