Flip key programing price please ???

hi all i lost one of my flip key and was qouted over £170 by stealers for new one but have since managed to get one on fleabay with correct code/part number etc and the blade has been cut to suit my car ie unlocks the doors etc all for £29.99 now all i need to do is get it programmed to my locking and immobiliser etc so it will start engine, so does anyone no how much it will cost to get this done and does it have to be the stealers that do it?  at present i only have one working key i dont even have the plastic key thingy that also comes with the car when new lol cheers in advance, MATT

I am certain your local locksmith specialist will have the knowledge for this. Should cost about £20-£30 going by what our chaps charge us.

I was in the same situation. My seller bought me another key and luckily paid for the reprogramming as well.
I believe you need to have both keys re-programmed at the same time, they cant just do one? Thats what I was told anyway by the dealer - not sure if its true or not as my dealer seems a little useless!
Anyways, I believe its £80 for a key reprogramming.

cheers again lads il have to have a ring around some stealers and locksmiths etc tommorrow see what sort of prices they come up with    any recomendations near chester more than welcome btw lol

yeah thats what i thought cass but apparantly not and after a few searches on googxle seems to be a few mobil people around that do it but none local to me
