hi gents can some one tell me what the going rate is for a clutch on a 8v gti 98 cheers

just done one for £120 but i was was a spectial offer.    but normal garage price seems to be 160 - 200.

Clutches cost buttons. Anywhere between £30 - 60 normally, not sure why Danny's was £120 (maybe uprated?).

Garages charge about £150 to fit a clutch, a good 3 hours labour (I just fitted one on a Nissan Primera today :( ). Call Awesome - they're pricey but supposedly pretty reputable.

the mk3 clutch is very different to normal cars and around £120-150 is about right/normal. (you need to remove the flywheel to fit the clutch as the clutch bolts to the crank and the flywheel then covers over this)

thats what i charged someone for supplying and fitting it. ( hence spectial offer )

think my clutch cost 100 but i cabel change  and syncro so absolute bar steward to do ( on mine espectaly )  hence was very fussy about what fitted as have no intention of splitting engine and box again in a hurry
