power steering woes
« on: 04 April 2009, 17:01 »
Tried to replace my power steering pump as i thought it was that that was leaking, but i found the problem just as i undid it.  the metal pipe that runs to the the pump has split for some reason ( i think it was the gartage that rebuilt my engine).

Now what i would like to know is how do i remove the pipe so I can replace it?  The haynes manual says you need to remove the pipe from the steering rack but i can get to the coupling to take the pipe off, any ideas how i can get to it?

Jack the car up and do it from underneath.....you may have to cut through the pipe to get the nut off...
Having trouble keeping it on the straight and narrow?  www.powersteeringstore.co.uk
