yep. Just bought it. Nice alloys, but just getting used to the colour of the seatbelts.

I'm pleased with mine - got it for ?5200 with only 43k miles

I went with a friend who is a VW mechanic to see it, and he was impressed with the condition. Another friend (again VW mechanic) just serviced it, changed cambelt and fluids / lubes etc, was also impressed with the car.

Beats all the other rubbish I saw over the last month when trying to find a decent golf.

I thought the anniversary was rare - seemed not to be the case. 3 out of the 10 cars I saw were anniversaries! and even one of those turned out to be a piece of s**t and I wasn't fooled by the respray job and missing anniversary bits.

read some where that only 150 16v anniversary models were imported into uk,

must admit that i am missing a few of the original features.

Shame about the missing bits - just as long as it's not the wheels. They will be expensive!

Ideally I would have liked a 16v but good 16Vs are generally hard to find second hand, let alone an anniversary one. It already took me so long to find a good 8V
