Newbie from NW, who's just bought his first GTI Cab...

Just thought I'd say hi to all and sundry...

I've just bought a mk1 1986 cab in need of some serious TLC...  Always wanted one from my teens, usual story I'm sure 

Well I've managed to pick one up for what i think is the right money, the shell is fine, doors with usual rust around edges etc but nothing too major...  Cars had 5 owners from new and covered 116k mileage....  Roof is mint, interior is a mess to say the least....

Looking for any good parts on Ebay and usual GTI sites...  Looking to attend my first GTI Festival next Sunday at Santa Pod if anybody from here is going..?

Anyway enough rambling on, I'm sure I'll be on asking many questions as the project gathers pace
