Hi all, My name is John I got a 57 plate gti about 3 weeks ago and have been reading the forum since. Thought it was about time I said hi. I got a black 5 door dsg. From reading here it turns out its an import through motopoint. (no alarm, no spare tyre, no rear speakers) and my alloys are reps. Did manage to pick up a bottle opener from eBay though for £3. And it does have the right engine. Result! Thanks for all the info you have already given me.
