Indicator Wiring issue
« on: 19 March 2009, 20:25 »
I took the car for a shake down run today and have an issue with the electrics. As part of my long running tradition of cars catching fire on me the indicator relay internally combusted and the fuse melted... never good on any occasion.  The only thing I have re-wired in that circuit is the front flashers.  Can anyone confirm which way the blk/wht, blk/green wires go into the indicators bulb housings?  Cheers, Ben.

dfoesnt actually matter, bulb works either way you wire it.  I'll try to find out which way is 'factory', but id assume the bulb casing would be earth and the wee tip would be live

Ahh was hoping it would be simple!  Could be a dodgy relay I guess. The fuse didnt blow, the plastic casing melted as did the relay.  Will dig out the connection on the back and make sure its ok. Ben
