Advice from people who know!

Hi I'm a newbie here.

I was wondering if you'd all give me some advice on what to do with my car!

I have a MKII GTI 8V in Bright metallic Blue (which i understand is a rare colour?).  When bought it had already been lowered with coilovers and had a set of brock b2 wheels in 9 X 16 ET 15.  

Standard 90 Spec arches are what let it down as the wheels stick out just a bit.  It looks really beefy and i like the look of the car, but, as the wheels are wide they catch on the arches, both plastic and metal, moreso on the rear, fronts aren't that bad.

I'm really undecided as to what to do with the wheels and arches.  I don't mind getting the arches cut then bonding new G60's on, but wonder wether i'm better getting some BBS splits and not bothering with the g60's etc.  If i cut them away i could theoretically have the car lower again!

Just advice on what you'd all do is all i require to help me make my mind up!

if you have got coilovers why not raise the height slightly until they dont rub?
