Sorry if this has been asked before but i couldnt find the info i wanted in the search.
My digifant in very smokey on start up so figure the valve seals are shot which gives me an excuse to recondition the whole head. Is it a hard to do this yourself, what tools would i need?
Ive seen this on ebay....
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VOLKSWAGEN-GOLF-1-6-GTI-8V-FULLY-RECON-CYLINDER-HEAD_W0QQitemZ360134135910QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item360134135910&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1683%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318
i know it says 1.6 8v but must mean 1.8, seems abit of a bargain. What do you guys think?

Late MK1 GTis were 1.8. Earlier ones were 1.6 though.
