Buying mk5 GTI any tips etc??
« on: 10 March 2009, 08:32 »
Hi Guys

had a baby girl a few months ago(not me my wife ha ha) and had an S3 so did a deal with it for a Impreza( too fast for the wife) so got 10k to spend on a gti.

I have found one that has 80k on the clock black monza 2 alloys, sat nav, full dealer history, just had new tyres cambelt etc. Really looks nice and is 8k, what should I look out for?

I have to have 4 doors(baby) and cloth trim( dog!!!)

Cheers and looks like a great forum.

Hi mate

thanks for all the tips, great helpfull forum already.... Looks nice.

Ive had a vr6 and a oak green mk2 gti in the past so mileage doesnt bother me if its been cared for correctly.   Thanks for all the info and look forward to posting lots of queries when I get one ha ha.

Spadey, welcome to the forum.

You might find most of the more important info in the 'maintenance +info' sub-section of this forum.  Go back to the Golf mk5 index page, and follow the link near the top of the page.

And stick around - 'cause we are generally a very helpful and friendly bunch.
