CENTRE ARM REST
« on: 03 March 2009, 22:21 »
Just bought my Edition 30 second hand. It has no center arm rest but and would really like to fit one. See one for £150  but not sure how difficult they are to fit. Has any one come across this? Thanks

It is a doddle to fit the armrest, I had to do it in mine.

My armrest kit came  with instructions, but basically there are 3 screws that hold the standard fit console down, take these out, replace with armrest frame (4 screws iirc) then attach armrest. It took me about 40 minutes being very careful.

The ducting for the rear vents in the armrest is a pain. It only costs about £4 from the dealers to get the bit, but you need to get the bottom of the console off, and the sides around the tunnel to fit the duct to the heating distribution box. I decided if my occaisonal rear seat passengers were that bothered, they could pay for it to be fitted by VW.

Ipod connector- try vw vortex, I am sure I remember seeing instructions on there.

Nope, its still an optional extra with the ED30.
Stupid, I know! I woul dhave thought they would have thrown more stuff in with the ED30 TBH, especially the arm rest!
