gearstick floppy?

i can see when i look in side the engine at all that gear linkage stuff haha...good explanation ;).....that it all moves quite loosely and if i put it in first or any other gear there is about 2cm of travel...

how can i fix this??.... any pics to show what i need to tighten / change


also how do you get off gearknob..i swear mine is superglued on!!!!

The pics show the brass clip you will need to remove / prise open to remove the gear knob. 5 minute job to remove the gear knob.

i did search ha not for "gear knob" though ha i searched for other key words ha thanks

still doesnt answer my question really its not the ggear knob that moves but the gear stick.... i.e the linkage bit in the engine is loose ...

Perhaps you will need to change the linkages, they come as a kit I think. Take it to a garage for a second opinion, should'nt cost you anything for them to take a look.
