i think clutch wear is a lot to do with driving style mapped or not , dont drive with your foot resting on the peddle , and change down gears to accelerate if you just floor it in 6 th at 2 k rpm all your torque is killing your clutch, a dsg will change down so you need to in the manual   !!!!         :wink:

Yup, agreed.  The nut holding the steering wheel is usually the most problematic.

Not applicable on a DSG  :tongue: - but agreed for a manual.

Hummmm - it is the LOWER gears where the torque is multiplied - which is why you are more likely to get clutch slip in lower gears before higher gears.  But if you do get slip in 6th, then your clutch is well and truely toasted.
