Fluctuating revs when pulling up to a junction.
« on: 03 March 2009, 20:37 »
Ok lads, sorry it's just a quickie, my turbo has been sat on my drive for a few months, starting driving her yesterday.

Anyhoo when i pull up to a junction/traffic lights, and dip the clutch the revs fluctuate about four times then sort themselves out and it idles normal, when it fluctuates it's below 1000rpm by the way.

Thinking clean idle valve, do they have one, or could it need a throttle body clean out?

i had something similar on mine but was over revving for few seconds. Did a Throttle body clean and it sorted it. Worth doing for the cost of some carb cleaner.

Mine was similar, it would idle between 600-900rpm for a couple of ticks before leveling out at about 900rpm

Cleaned the throttle body at the weekend and it sits perfectly at just under 1000rpm now :)

Was very simple to do....is a good guide !
