16V Mods (Superchip)
« on: 18 June 2003, 16:29 »
Has anyone fitted a Superchip to their GTi 16V?

How about a combination of a Chip , Filter and Exhaust?

What sort of results does this achieve on this car?

 ??? ;D

Yep as Golf VR6 mentioned above the 16V was detuned so as not to scare the VR6 when it was launched. VW Motoring editor Neil Birkitt had one and when chipped it made 174 BHP, I think this was with a sebring exhaust and the almost compulsory addition of K&N air filter. I'll try and dig the article out and scan it for you.
