yeah mate that was on there ealy last year cos i had a quick look.
£20,000 is a lot of money to blow and then sell it for under £7000(i guess ?) seems a bit dodgy to me ???

Yeah seems dodgy I must admit, what would you guys recommend? Taking down an expert? Running it on vag com before buying it?

I'll give the guy an e-mail and ask if he would mind me doing those and also a drive of it before purchase.

any modded car looses value, would defo recommend getting someone who can have a good look over it even if you stump up for a rac/aa check

yep i know that my evo was £34,000(with the ralliart extras) and i spent £16,000 on it(AP Racing brakes, new intercooler,de cat exhaust, Work Meister wheels, 2k stereo system etc......) and sold it for £19,000  :shocked: (chassis was slightly twisted(after sum silly bint pulled a u-turn on a dual carriage way) and wanted to tune it up more but was advised to get rid )

It just seems a bit excessive on a tdi(on top of the cost of the car)

I quite like my PD150 to 250-270BHP but not a chance i wil ever spend £20k on my car doing it lol

I got a price list from "the derv doctor" for turbo upgrades;

PD 150

Phase 1
ECU Re-map and Panel Filter, this is the most popular up-grade, this provides upto 45 bhp and 50-60 ft-lb increase. Power is smooth throughout the rev range with no torque spikes at low RPM.
ECU Re-Map:- £325 plus VAT,
Panel Filter:- £40 plus VAT
Option Milltek Exhaust system. This gives improved throttle response and an extra 5-10 bhp.
Milltek Down Pipe:- £124.10 Plus VAT, Cat-back System:- £270.91 Plus VAT

Phase 2
As Phase 1, plus an larger Garrett GT series hybrid turbocharger (As used by VW Motorsport)  and a Sachs up-rated clutch. Plus our custom phase 2 ECU re-map. This will provide 220-235 bhp and 330-350 ft-lb of torque!

New Garrett Hybrid Turbo :- £975 Plus VAT and £140 plus VAT fitting (Exchange Units available)
Sachs Race Engineering Clutch:- £416.94 Plus VAT and Fitting
ECU Re-Map:- £395 plus VAT,
Panel Filter:- £40 plus VAT

Phase 4
As Phase 3 , plus ERL water injection system, enlarged  injector assemble, modified inlet manifold and a custom re-map and a Helix Clutch and flywheel assemble. Phase 4 can provide up to 245 BHP
New Garrett Hybrid Turbo :- £975 Plus VAT and £140 plus VAT fitting (Exchange Units available)
Helix Clutch and flywheel assemble:- £710 Plus VAT and Fitting
ERL water injection system and water tank £495 Plus VAT fitted.
ECU Re-Map:- £395 plus VAT,
Panel Filter:- £40 plus VAT
Milltek Down Pipe:- £124.10 Plus VAT,
Cat-back System:- £270.91 Plus VAT

Phase 5 Prices on application,
Up to 265 bhp

265 sounds nice but i would have to start robbing banks i think  :grin:
