You're joking right?  MPG aint great and cost to the environment over the life of the vehicle (inc build and disposal) makes it terrible..

how is anyone gettin anywhere near 40 mpg i drive sensibly and bearly get 30mpg an bout 21 if im gettin a bit nippy in it and my gti turbs standard.

i can get 45mpg in my 1.8 t if i do 60mph for about 20 miles non stop, done it going to southend once with two people in it lol.  Never again tho lol, avarage 28-32 usually.

Wow 45MPG ?   

My 1.8T dash says an average of 37-38 on my A Road/M25 commute to work (if I drive nicely) but when I've worked it out properly it only seems to do just under 30 in reality.

Me and my dad got 41.8 mpg in my 1.8t after I brought it and he was driving back and that was at 70mph. I normally get about 30mpg cure that will change after the remap.
