id only go to all the bother of a head swap for a flowed jobber

if you can find a pair of kr cams cheap its not too bad a job to swap over. VW were a bit conservative with the 150bhp power rating so even std abf cars often get more, decat frees up a fair few hgorses as well. That plus not all rolling roads are created equal, it would have been better to see power figures before & after on the same rollers

For example, in my MK2 I had a bog std MK3 2.0 8v 2e lump, std MK2 digi head, cam & injection system, std zaust etc etc. I got 142BHP, which tbh is a little on the high side! For comparison a completly std MK2 8v GTI went on straight after me and got 127bhp
