Lowering caps, two types??

Correct me if i am wrong guys, but are there two types of lowering caps?

Ones that hold the spring on the shock, and also the caps that bolt down on the engine bay side of things...

am i talking out of my arse???

if anyone know where i can get either type, please linky

just the spring upper plate type, ones on the engine bay side do nothing except stop the shocks falling off the car when you jack it up/catch air
