Check the wishbone bushes. Get a mate to watch the front wheel whilst you release the clutch fairly sharply (car in gear of course).
If the wheel moves apreciably in relation to the car body that's likely toi be the problem. There will always be slight movement with rubber bushes, you're looking for considerable. If the bushes are bad you can have evidence of wheel rubbing on the inner arches.

from what it sounds like ive got the exact same knocking sound as yours. I get it when pullin away mostly. Going in the garage on tuesday so hopefully get it sorted then, its definetly not the top mounts on mine tho

i know what happens when top mount bearings seize up  :shocked:

suspension knocks at low speed manoeuvring, plus VERY stiff steering


I don't think a semi will give the same results

It was the rear wishbone bush. The sleeve had cracked and allowed increasing play. Put a new one in. Hopfully this will last!
