Earths

My car's battery drains every time I leave my car switched off for any length of time.

It still starts no problem, but my volt meter doesn't even register a reading for at least 10 minutes of engine running time.

I've been told it is a bad earth at the rear of the car, can anyone tell me where I should look for this earth?

Sounds like a faulty voltmeter then, that or you have the worst first car that doesn't require electrcity.
