are 195 45 stretched big style on a 8j?

a fair stretch, but simple to fit and doesnt really affect the feel to much.

i was going to put 195 45 17 on my tt comps, which at 7.5j as you can get good brands in that size. Would that not be stretched at all then?

Yes it should have a little stretch.

the offset on the 7's are 57 and the 8's are 52 iirc.

I would yes, go for 20mm adaptors which would leave your offset around 32.

im getting 195/45 16 for my 8j D90's and for the 6" (if i keep them im gonna go 195/40/16. might be going 8" all round tho so it will be 195/45/16
