hi i have a mk3 gti 8v agg engine need to change the rocker cover seal as its leakiin, my question is how do i take that saucer thing of from the top? iv removed the box but then im confused
will b nice if sum1 helped me out

unclip the pipes and take it off as 1 (then you can also clean the insides out while its off
)... (if you really want to remove the box there is 2 screws and then it should pull out..but be gentle as they can get brittle!)

I use petrol (works better than most things I've tried!).. It can be good to clean all the other breather pipes too at some point as the crap that can build up!! and it will help you notice any split/soft pipes sooner than when the car starts stalling! (it will/should aid performance and economy
)

wa other pipes r ther?
all i knw is that thers a breather pipe at the front of the engine, but wa bout wer the pipe leads to how do u clean that out that?
neway i no its called breather pipe but how does it acutalu breath?? hehe
