Hi guys excuse my forum skills but only new to this. I have my Gti for about a month now and i've noticed as it ticks over it tends to give a faint shudder every 5-10 secs. Just wondering is this the same problem you experienced when your flywheel went boom or has anyone any suggections. Any would greatly be appreciated

If its like a very slight misfire then this is normal.

Think i posted earlier in this thread about having an advisory for a 'noisy flywheel' - basically took it to another dealer and they said the dual mass flywheel is bathed in oil so wouldn't be 'noisy', and if anything were to go wrong, it'd go big time. They checked it out thoroughly and ended up changing the fuel pump.
