4bar Revo or Exhaust first?
« on: 24 June 2004, 11:20 »
Hi peeps,

I notice that you've had 4bar revo on your car, I'm thinking of upgrading  (only got 3bar!)

I know i need a FPR, but what i want to know is,

A) Will I still be able to switch between stock/performance (still under 1 years warranty)

B) Will the stealers notice the FPR if say I take it in for any work or service?

C) Is it too much pressure on the poor lil engine to get the 4bar program? should I get exhaust system b4 4bar??

Thanks peeps!! :)

Oh by the way ENGLAND 2  Portugal 1 ;D
If A equals success, then the formula is: A = X + Y + Z, X is work. Y is play. Z is keep your mouth shut.

Visibly, you can only tell the difference between 3 and 4 bar regs if you look at the part numbers. I wouldn't bother with 4bar (even though the revo upgrade itself is free) unless you're willing to shell out for the SPS3 controller, with that you can turn the boost down to practically stock performance. They'd have to be really looking hard at the dealership to spot all this so I wouldn't worry -too- much about warranty & servicing etc..
Having said that, running all that extra boost isn't a great idea without better cooling.. freeing up some back pressure on the turbo with the larger downpipe, CAT and exhaust would be highly advisable.
So yeah you could get the 4bar software now, but having it set to high boost pressures may just soak in the heat making you no better off until you get the Milltek !
