Car radio signal booster!!!!
« on: 17 January 2009, 09:52 »
well after spending ages trying to find out why my new kenwood head unit DNX-5220BT had CRAP reception on the radio, I have bought me one of these. a must for bee sting antenna's or standard antenna's.

At last i shall be able to listen to the radio without loseing the stations with poor reception. this powers the built in antenna amp when useing after market head units.

just incase anyone wonders why they get poor radio reception.

The guy I bought my car from had HIDs installed by VW, and for some reason when the headlights are on, the radio reception goes rubbish.  Sidelights are fine, just the main beam so I reckon its to do with the HIDs- let me know if this makes any difference to yours- I may invest in one myself!

I noticed when I bought my car that the previous owner had got VW to fit one of these. Think it was about £75 fitted IIRC. I only have the standard Gamma in mine but I have no issues with the reception...
