Cold Start Problem
« on: 22 January 2009, 12:01 »
Hi all..

I've got a mk4 1.8 turbo, totally standared

Currently having problems on cold mornings. Its only got to look at the key and it starts no problem but when I try to pull away it behaves like its starved of fuel, like it needs more choke. This only last for a couple of hundred yards untill the engine has a bit of warmth into it. I've had it into the garage and the diagnostic computer is recording no fault codes, plugs and coils also check out ok. My mechanic tells me that if the temperature sensor was faulty a fault code would have been recorded and detected by the diagnostic.

Anybody got any ideas/thoughts or anyone had similar problem?...if so how did you sort it.

Cheers... Stuart
