DSG Intake
I did read it  but the pics are of the smoothed intake, not the R32 one.

The pipe pics at the bottom of the link   It will look stock when fitted - just has bigger intake pipe

Sorry, just didn't know if the R32 one was smoother but the same externally..  So could take a different filter.

Ah i see- no AFAIK its the same. BTW You have to mod the standard air box to fit the DSG or buy the R32 box 70 pounds

Just keep the standard air feed, but smooth your airbox & fit the panel filter, then. :afro:

I've got my DSG feed kit in boot at minute. Might have a go at smoothing and fitting at weekend. In 2 minds whether just to smooth box for now and wait to fit dsg in a month or so when I upgrade all front bulbs.

Then again, will be taking advantage of R-tech prices before end of month, so might not even bother. Is there really any advantage over smoothed box and panel filter?.?.

smoothing the airbox basically lets more air get through as the small fins inside just get in the way its the same reson for the filter and DSG intake, alows alot more air to get through which then gives you a better throttle response
