100mph?

Was doing 100mph today, (not on the public highway officer!). The car was revving at 5000rpm. Its the first time i have been this fast in my new gti. I dont remember my last one being like this although that was 5 years ago! Its a 87 8v running 15" G60s. Does this gearing sound right or do i have the wrong gearbox in my car?

sounds right to me,   if it was a 4+e box it would have been about 4000 rpm

yeah thats about right m8 wont do your car,fuel or your licence any good tho if you get court.....

was just a quick blast. the everyday caddy doesnt go that fast so it was novel!
