My one issue would be that the Diesel definitely suits the DSG more than the manual as when pushing on you can keep it in the power/torque band much easier.

Awww... the missus recently turned down a company-car MKVI TDi DSG in favour of a 116d - I like the sound of that constant wall of torque!

BTW, nice new banner, Hurdy...  Sorry OP!

MKV GTI | Reflex Silver | 5-dr | Anthracite 17" | Manual | Highline MFD | Cruise | Revision 'D' DV | Dirty Pipes |

The GTD is like a blow up doll. The GTI is like a proper woman. Sure the doll might last longer, and the woman might have higher running costs, but which would you rather have?

Just been looking around at the other GT TDI's and it seems from 07 the GT TDI has the Sport front look like the gti?

Or at least the ones on the VW used site do.

Also i just spoke to my insurer (of whome i have 8months left with! on pay monthly) And they want an extra £700 to insure a mk5 gt tdi even though i have had other quotes that would be the same price as my current car!!!

Ridiculous!
