Part compatibility.

I've dropped a mk2 1.6 engine into my Clipper. I need to know if the mk2 clutch cable and accelerator cable is the same on the two cars. Anybody know?

Hi

Stick with the vehicle cables, not the engine cables, as the MK1 clutch cable comes out in front of the pedal box (and buggars the bulk head) and the MK2 comes up through the scuttle pannel (much better design)  Use the fittings for the old gearbox on the new 'box with the old cable. - gee if you understand that...

Dunno about the throttle cable... sorry

the clutch cable is pretty different, the accellerator cable i think will fit though but if the old one fits just use that.
