I've seen a number of cars with added splitters/spoliers to the bottom of the front spoiler can someone point me in the right direction for something like this..
-
I think that OSIR do a carbon fibre splitter? I can't be sure though.
-
Someone mention carbon fibre?
OSIR do a luscious CF front lip - pricey though.

Having just looked at the OSIR website after a long while they have an awesome cover for the iPhone! woop woop!

Just my tuppence worth......I think the ed30 looks classy, the osir looks a little too un-oem for my tastes....also remember the height....last thing you need is to split the splitter
-
Have you clumped it Robin? :undecided: It doesn't sit very well....

Yes, I've 'clumped' it a few times but you only really notice in pics or if you're looking for it. When you start looking very closely at all the body panel joins you'll notice similar differences in the gaps. It doesn't bother me.

Nice one Robin, i'm liking that, also where did you get the AP's

....From AP Racing - Supplied and fitted direct because I helped them with the kit for the GTI.

does the osir carbon splitter just stick over the top of the standard ed30 item? looking at buying my car a crimbo pressie and that looks lush  anybody have any idea what it might cost?

....No, it replaces the standard front splitter whether it's GTI or Ed30.
It's not cheap and the carbon centre alone costs about £150, though you can get a fibreglass one instead. I can sell my carbon centre - It's scratched underneath but not visible and is the Mk1 design.
Phone Justin at TTshop for a price (I can never remember what I paid and it won't be normal retail anyway) - 01234 855 555.

Hi RR,
OSIR now do a simple CF splitter that stretches across the bottom of the stock GTI I thought about this myself as it looks V lush. and they do it in silver too

That's really nice!!
Lots of Riso's stuff wasn't out when I bought. I've already changed one OSIR part to a later version and it's difficult to justify the double costs.

....
Feck me!! Have you seen OSIR's new 'Headlight Kit', Hurdy?

Yes, but mine are already aftermarket lights, so the CF parts aren't compatible.
Tempted RR?

Methinks it might look a tad OTT. Besides I'd rather spend me dosh on engine mounts and poly bushes.
-
robin, your splitter looks different to the ed30 version. the osir one on the website seems to just be a cover for the bottom lip on the ed30. there is a mention that they use a glue to fix it on.if its not too much faffing about i'll buy one monday morning to give myself something to do while the kids are fighting

Yes, my splitter is a different OSIR product - My car is a GTI rather than an Ed30. In my case, the splitter replaces the stock VW one and is bolted and not stuck on.
:afro:
-
does the ed30 one look like its just stuck on to you, cant make my mind up. there is a mention of what glue they recommend next to the carbon splitter that hurdy put a link to.
-
....
I doubt the Ed30 is a 'stick-on' but I expect it will be a bolted-on VW component - An Ed30 owner will be able to confirm.
