As much as its a great all rounder, my ED30 just doesn't quiet hit the spot for me. Coming from a M3 I miss the rear wheel drive and power. I dont know what a realistic price is.
march 08
5dr steel grey
dsg
4.5k miles
touch screen sat nav
MFSW
Hi line
xenons
lux pack
winter pack
rear parking sensors
cruise
sunroof
3 year service pack
auto glym life shine
any ideas to what i'd be expecting to get for it would be much appreciated.
Cheers

Just roughly price it against a similar spec Ed30 on Autotrader or Pistonheads. Prepare for a shock though...cant see it being easy to shift with christmas and the old credit crunch looming.
-
yeah i've looked on both and there is a big spread in prices, some are too optimisic for sure lol. Im in no desparate hurry to sell up so looking to test the market at a realistic price.

16k approx trade in, or you could push £18500 private sale

That would be a nice credit crunching loss

I got 17k as a trade in on mine against a new R32 last week. My ED30 was also a March 08 (DSG, 9k miles) and only had armrest and highline MFD as options.
A bit of a credit crunch trade-in price but then the R32 had about 5.5k knocked off its list price so swings and roundabouts really.

That's a pretty well spec'd Ed30 Jay, and that'll be the source of your credit crunching loss......unfortunately when it comes to selling you simply don't get all your money back for all those extra's you spec'd when ordering.
Keep your chin up though; if you decide not to sell it you still have a real nice car there.

Can't help you with the rear wheel drive, but why don't you come to the next meet and take a ride in a remapped Ed30 - you can have a ride in mine if you want. They are a COMPLETELY difference car/beast when remapped - at 320bhp and lighter than an M3, on the motorway or a dual carriageway you'd be pleasantly suprised - an M3 driver would be surprised too, though not pleasantly     Can't help you with the rear-wheel drive bit though.

Exactly what he said ^^^^^

Thanks for the offer
A re-map was something i've been thinking about and some of the performance figs (standing 1/4, 0-100 times etc) that have been acheived eg Ben, Hurdy etc are very impressive for a reasonable cost
I've been down the modding route in the past and as im sure a few will say once you start you always want more lol. The real biggy is the rear wheel drive, I really didn't think I would miss it soo much.

£17k ish and an agressive stealer in denial will say 15.5k....you will get more privately but..... You will need to find a moivated buyer..... New 08 r32's were going for 17k recently

I didn't pay anywhere near £18500 for mine brand new in September...

If yours has no Add ons they i dont doubt it corgi, Jay's has a very high spec hense the price.
-
Mine has seats, steering wheel, pedals and all sorts
and new R32's were £18K recently...
Typically, you get very little for optional extras/add-ons come re-sale...
As much as it pains me to say it: trade £15k (depending on how desperate the dealer is), private £16.5K. There are still plenty of unregistered examples around and you will need to differentiate yours in price terms from a 58-plate whether or not you have extras

oh you do, its just depends on how hard you haggle and not except the 1st dumb offer a dealer gives you. ive bought 3 new vag cars and all of them got top money because i haggled and also because they have been a high spec car.

Thanx for the opinions guys.
Its a tough call whether to go with my heart or my head. The heart says sell and get a 911 as they are at a great price now and my head says the ed30 is a great car, your gonna lose a packet on it so enjoy what you've got. Its going to be one hell of a fight to which one wins.
Any thoughts would be welcome
