Title: LOSS OF POWER !

Hi all, hope some one can help, my 150 tdi has been shunting a bit on a light throttle in 3rd and now I've just gone up the dual carriageway about 6 miles everything ok but on return journey had a drastic power drop, so I think it went into limp home mode. I've connected it to a vag com programme and it's come up as.....code - 17964 charge pressure control , negative deviation-
Has anybody got any ideas, ie might it be a simple fix or bloody expensive.
 Would appreciate any advice. Cheers chesterxiii.

sounds like you've got a boost leak - check the connections around the intercooler at the front of the engine - they like to pop off as the lugs on the pipes wear down due to the boost

Fair doo's you know your stuff. A simple thing but only if you know what your doing. A bit like sex really!!!! Cheers for that you were right.
