Ive got a set of wheels 17" pcd 5x100 et40 but my car's et is 33(golf vr6). Do you know where to get spacer's? and do spacer's put more pressure ont he bearings?

umm i thought all mk3s were et35? most tyre sites list it as "32..38"
you can get some here... 17.99 a pair.
they're 6mm not the 7mm you need, but thats only 1mm out from 33 or only 3mm over from 35

i've not heard anything about extra stress on bearings. all i've heard is that you have to do them up properly, and that you need to buy the right type length longer bolts to make up for the difference.
i've been trying to source some adapters that got from pcd 5x100 to 5x130 (porsche) and et 35 to et 55 (20mm thick)
