Title: Belt Slippage
Post by: MarkII16v on 10 June 2004, 14:46
When reversing on full lock it sounds like a belt is slipping under the bonnet. Any ideas which one it is and if I can sort it myself?

It does upto a point when it grabs again and stops. Really irritating as its fine for everything else. No other noises including gearbox crunch etc so its a bit embarrassing doing a turn!  :-[

TBH I haven't checked anything mate, gonna take it to a garage as I don't have the tools or know how. Was just wondering if it may have been something simple!
