Evening.
My neighbour and I have just inherited a free mk3, and what a beast!
(Sorry for the poor pictures, winter is with us)
Only a 1.4 but 3 doors so it has the show but no go. We plan to clean it up, MOT, return the chav'd bits to standard and use a daily runabout.

Areas of concern (help please!)
N/S sill trim needs replacing. How does this fit on and what option do I have (GTI the same trim?)

The drivers window has broken away from the lifter so a new mechanism will be needed. An easy job?
(It took 4 grown men to figure out how to remove the manual winder handle to get the trim off, PMSL!)
The interior looks like someone's made a dirty protest all over.

The fuel flap sticker had been ripped off and damaged the flap.

That it so far, all comments and help welcome. I expect I'll have loads of questions when work kicks off.

Welcome!
Ultimate chav factor when theres a petrol cap sticker  What next! At least you seem to have some good plans to smarten it up!

Spanks for the warm welcome. Things have started moving, including the car. A dead battery needed a V6 boost! Sounded like a right tractor when I finally got it running.

I've priced up all the service items (£35) and got a quote from the breakers for the window regulator, fuel flap (£20), and a termination order put on the person who fitted the LED window washer jets.
The issues encountered so far;
I can't find a replacement locally for the NS skirt trim. Anyone help?

I need a warm air pipe, probably pick one up from my local motor factors.

Also, can someone tell me where the fuel filter is on a 1.4?
More fun and games to come.

If you want a trim, I got one, same with the hot air pipe...

Maybe, don't mind giving it a go for ya though when I got a spare minute or so to remove :)
EDIT: Do you need it urgently?

Not desperate but would like it before Christmas. I think I'll check the local parts place for the pipe though, it does need it in the cold weather.
