I hope this guy catches the wee scroat....love his use of ebay for this, I didn't realise that people used it in that way. Fantastic.

Must have left the keys in the car for him to get it...not sying its his fault because nobody has the right to take anything in the first place

Someone attempted to steal mine but got sh!t all, got the keys to my dads but didnt know how to start it lol.

Frustrating - and i feel really sad for this lad, but serves as a timely reminder to all of us - eh?

Modern cars are not so easy to nick without keys - on the other hand I'd rather hand over my keys under duress than end up as a sad statistic on the BBC as another posthumous 'have-a-go' hero?

It's a bastard world at times. (I actually typed b*stard there :) )

Cant see him ever getting the car back to be honest, will be stripped down or sold on to do a job in by now.

Such a shame, dont see what people are thinking when they jump into someones car..what gives them the right...thing is the law will just give him a light sentence and a slap on the wrist if they ever do catch him.

The more people that are aware of the situation...the better! :)

I doubt it, he's taken it as the opportunity arose and he's a slaggy thief, I imagine he took it for a joyride and now has a pricey motor in his garage and doesn't know where to sell it on to.

Agreed - if he was a pro he wouldn't have had his mug caught on CCTV.

I AM THE GUY WHO HAD HIS 2007 GTI EDITION 30 STOLEN , FIRSTLY I WANT TO THANK EVERYONE FOR THERE SUPPORT YOU HAVE ALL BEEN GREAT AND I TRULEY APPRECIATE YOUR HELP AND SUPPORT.

SECONDLY I WOULD LIKE TO CLARIFY A FEW POINTS, I HAVE A CAR SALES GARAGE WHICH IS LOCATED AT THE PETROL STATION WHERE MY CAR WAS STOLEN FROM. THERE IS A CAR WASH AT THE OTHER END OF THE GARAGE, MY MISS'S HAD BEEN OUT SHOPPING THAT MORNING, ON HER WAY HOME SHE DECIDED TO GET THE CAR CLEANED, THE KEYS WHERE GIVEN TO THE CAR WASH GARAGE, MY MISS'S THEN WALKED OVER TO MY SITE TO SEE ME, UNFORTUNATLEY I WAS NOT THERE, WHILST THEY WHERE CLEANING THE CAR, OR SHOULD I SAY LEATHERING IT DOWN, THE THIEF JUMPED INTO THE CAR AND DROVE OFF.

THE CAR WASH HAVE INSURANCE AND OUR CLAIM IS GOING THROUGH NOW.
THE REASON I WILL NOT STOP UNTILL I FIND THIS GUY AND HE HAS BEEN ARRESTED, IS BECAUSE HOW MANY OTHER CARS WILL HE STEAL, WHY SHOULD THEY GET AWAY WITH IT WHILST HARD WORKING PEOPLE STICK IT OUT AND WORK THROUGH THE GOOD AND BAD TIMES, IF WE SIT BACK AND DO NOTHING THINGS WILL ONLY GET WORSE AND AS IF WE NEED THEM WORSE THAN WHAT IT IS TODAY.

ANYWAY THATS JUST MY VIEW AND I WILL NEVER EVER JUST SIT BACK AND TAKE IT, NO ONE SHOULD HAVE TOO.

ONCE AGAIN THANK YOUTO ALL THAT HAVE GIVEN ME THERE SUPPORT IT IS TRUELY APPRECIATED.

ALEX

Keep up the pressure Alex until you find him and then shaft/shame him for the rest of his natural....................................

Perish the thought that someone posts his details on the web and he can then be a virtual target for us all

keep your eyes open on ebaymotors or adtrader for a suspiciously cheap ed30...or dare I say it (parts from one  )....sorry mate I know you must be hurting.  Please keep us all up to date.  Surely someone will know the little btard, you have a pretty good image of his face.  Local pubs etc, it does sound opportunist and he may just have used it as transport home or close to his home, are there any scummy areas in the vicinity? have a scout around where logically some wee sh!te like this would live....my wife had her car several years ago and I used that logic to actually find the car myself! Its a long shot pal, but you just never know....

best of luck
G

Only problem is that this will no doubt be sold or driving around on cloned plates. Does it have ant distingusing marks/mods that could help it stand out from the other white ED30's out there, which there seem to be quite alot of??

Im on the look out

This is really bad. Well done on putting in so much effort to get it and the thief back. We need for people like you in the world. In fact this has given me an idea for a forum Where people can declare stolen items etc. And possibly get them back. Good luck!
