Hi
Just been thinking about my old 8v Golf and wondered if it is on the road and owned by any of you?
It was an Alpine White, 5 door 8v.
Reg G430 UKO
With Infinity Kappa speakers in the doors
It was a great little car and never let me down. And the reason I just bought another mk2.
It would be nice to know it was still running!
I PX the car at a Kent BMW dealer over ten years ago.
Long shot I guess, but you never know!

Unfortunately, it returned the following details about your car. Looks like it hasn't been taxed since Aug 2004 so it's well and truly off the road now. Don't know if it is SORN or scrapped though.

mines been sorn for over a year, just done it last month again, and the date of liability is 01/12/2009 . so i guess that one above was probably scraped in aug04

What a shame, thanks for looking it up though.

Over 10 years ago! Glad you still have ye old soft spot for the MK2
oh and sorry to hear it's now probs scrapped

Yes, its funny really. Always had a soft spot for the mk2, even after owning a M3 and various other newer cars I still came back. Took a while to find my new one. Which is very much a dry weather car.
