I did the same as you gambit, B&Q sell large builders plastic sheets which worked a treat with Carpet tape (being nice and strong double sided).

you will find that the duck tape wont last that long so i used some sort of  8)Blue-tak used by builders. It comes in a roll and is easy to shape, very sticky and water proof. Anyone know the name? Very handy sh!t ;)

 8)blue 8)

Would no nails do the trick or some silicon from a tune? both are water tight!

I used porper duck tape & thick plastic sheeting from Focus.  I also cut an extra strip and stuck it along the lower half of the door and tucked it inside the bottom, as on the front doors water runs down the inside of the plastic and out the bottom drain holes.

BMW used to do a plastic door membrane that you cut to fit, it comes on a roll, is like biddy baxters sticky backed plastic and you waft a hair drier over it and it goes nice and tight like geordie jeans. more expensive than b&q bags tho'...

I used silicon sealent, plastic sheeting and some duck tape to cover anywere i missed!! But if you use silicone sealent, let it set before you think about throwing water at it to see if it is water tight, aint a good idea ::) and don't do it when its damp

blue, the stuffs red innit, it maustick of something along those lines!
