Take a look at this - http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/807360.htm
Pointless conversion in my opinion - you can get a real GTI for less than £9k nowadays, but those alloys actually look really good on the car. I'm not a fan of non-BBS aftermarket alloys for the GTI - unless its a purely functional decision like light-weight racing ones for track use... however, these look really nice.

Much less depreciation(car should hold value well because of demand for cheaper to run cars)
Hmm £10,295 for a 2004 1.6? made me lol.
On the other hand it does look very nice, tastfully modified...its calling out for some VW centre caps though.

Looks really nice. That guy has done a stella job of the conversion. I just cant see the point in doing things like this. I can only assume that someone would want this because they cant afford to buy / run / insure the car. But that must have a cost a healthy ammount of cash to get ther car looking like it is now, surley the money spent on doing it up could have paid for the real thing.
Them RS4s suit in nice aswell, Rosie has them on hers.

Fair play to him, he's done a fantastic job on that. Maybe he couldn't afford to insure a GTI  Either way he needs to be a bit more realistic about the price. :nerd:

Genuine GTI exhaust(sounds almost like real GTI),

nice job to be fair, but at the end of the day its still mutton dressed as lamb!

It does look like the nicest 'conversion' I have come across... but still completely pointless IMHO. :undecided:
