Title: antifreeze.

how do i no if my car has antifreeze in. I have checked bottle and it has red liquid in. Cos i no vw like G12 so i am puzzled any help would b gr8

The pink stuff is the G12+ I believe it's all the same, summer coolant, and anti-freeze all in one. :afro:

is it best to get this from the stealers or will halfords keep it in as well?

Stealers not very expensive - you want G12+

Basically it has the correct anti-corrosive & lubricant values VW use. :afro:

its always a good idea to get the strenght checked any good garage can do this :cool:

If there isnt a dealer near you Halfords sell the G12 stuff.

Buy a tester mate. Only a few quid and you will no you have the correct ammount in the car.

If you just wanna no if its got some in although you wont be able to tell how much do one of the following.

Look at it - Its normally got some colour in it.

Smell it - Smells sweet

Feel it - it has ads lubricant to water you can feel the difference

Taste it - It tastes sweet (not advisable as it will kill you but at least you no your car will be ok ) :grin:
